The New X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Is Gorgeous

20th Century Fox and Marvel dropped the newest trailer for “X-Men: Apocalypse,”and I for one couldn’t be more excited. Not only does it show the return of Jean Grey and Cyclops (as their younger selves of course), but we also get a sneak peak of the villain and his new crew as they try to cleanse the world.

The students of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters will be put to the test, but this time it won’t be in the classroom. Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence, tells the new recruits to forget everything they think they know.

“You’re not students anymore. You’re X-Men.”

We also get a good look at Psylocke, Storm and Nightcrawler as they fight for survival against Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. What’s more, the history of Apocalypse is explained just a wee bit further and there’s a little bit of déjà vu when Eric and Charles repeat a line of dialogue that was exchanged in the very first X-Men film.

“Doesn’t it ever wake you up in the middle of the night, the feeling that someday they’ll come for you and your children?”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated for release on May 27th, and I couldn’t be more stoked to see young Jean’s involvement in the film as well as Magneto’s full transition to the dark side.
