Remember when The Simpsons decided to weigh in on the election and went all Lysistrata on us to get their point across?
Well, another ’90s show has decided to throw their weight around, and unlike Matt Groening’s immortal jaundiced family it had to come back from the grave to do it!
Will and Grace (title drop) want Clinton in the White House, while Karen supports Trump. Meanwhile, Jack just wants whatever Katy Perry wants, and at this point in the election that’s as valid as any other reasoning behind choosing a political agenda. Either way, the characters still seem to have retained conscious awareness during the decade they’ve spent off the air.
What’s more, the short appears to encourage voter awareness through the VoteHoney hashtag.
Reportedly, Joss Whedon wants to create an army of celebrities to voice their support for voting for the upcoming election, in what is known as the Say the Date campaign. It will somehow involve getting Mark Ruffalo, that actor who plays the Hulk in his Marvel films, to strip on live video. He should be used to that by now being the Hulk and all. Hopefully, that may also mean my evil schemes to reboot Martha the Immortal Waitress shall finally come to fruition, if he takes a page from this.
