Uncharted 4 Won’t Be Naughty Dog’s Last PS4 Game

Naughty Dog, the studio behind the Uncharted series, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and the Last of Us, are getting ready of their last hurrah on PS4. Uncharted 4 is scheduled to come out in March, but the developer says that the title will not be their last to grace Sony’s next-gen console.

PS4 owners will get “at least one, maybe two” more titles before the next generation of consoles gets rolled out. The studio was asked about their plans for a release after Uncharted 4 and Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer took to Finder to give the skinny.

“I would hope so. I would hope we would release a game pretty soon.”

We certainly hope so, too. Everything they’ve done has been top notch, so there’s no reason why the fans and the developers wouldn’t want to get one more out before PS5 or Xbox 2 comes out… just assuming those will be the names.

“Yeah, our development cycles aren’t too long so and I have no idea how long this console generation really is going to last, but, yeah, there’s no doubt it should be in this console generation for sure.”

Meyer continued: “I mean I have no doubt – I don’t know what the timelines are – but we have at least one, maybe two games left in the console generation, maybe more. Clearly we can release a game really late in a console generation and do well, right?”
