Twitter Executives Leave Jack Dorsey High And Dry

Bad news for Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, but good news for those of you looking for high-profile jobs.

Four of Twitter’s top executives have “chosen to leave the company,” which adds insult to injury for Dorsey, who recently lost his status as a billionaire. Media head Katie Jacobs Stanton, product head Kevin Weil, Senior Vice President of Engineering Alex Roetter, and Vice President of Human Resources Skip Shipper have all jumped ship — leaving shareholders in an uneasy state and the company with an uncertain future.

In addition to those four, Reuters have suggested that Jason Toff, the head of Vine, and business development head Jana Messerschmidt were also considering leaving the company. This exodus marks the latest in a series of unfortunate events that the social media giant have endured since Dorsey reclaimed the title of CEO. Mass layoffs, plunging stock price, stock giveaway and now executives leaving signal turbulent times ahead for the little blue bird. Naturally, analysts have nothing good to say about this.

“While we may not be the sharpest tools in the shed, we don’t see how the departure of the heads of three major business divisions can be viewed as a positive in the middle of an attempted business turnaround,” wrote Stiffel Research analyst Scott Devitt.

Twitter have unveiled a host of new features since Dorsey took over and are planning on eliminating the 140 character limit as well, but none of their moves have served the company any good. They’re even facing a lawsuit that could set a precedent making social media platforms liable for the acts of terrorists who use their platforms.

There are some truly roughs seas ahead for Dorsey and co.
