Delay the game once, shame on you. Delay it twice, shame on me. Delay it a third time… well, it can’t get delayed again… right?
Well, let’s just hope so. Naughty Dog have delayed Uncharted 4 for the third time and are pushing the release date back another two weeks to May 10. President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, Shawn Layden, took to the Playstation Blog to announce the news.
“As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track to go gold and into production later this month.” he said.
“In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.”
The game was originally slated for an end of 2015 release, but production setbacks and a whole bunch of other crap have seen it move to where it is now. At this point, another two week isn’t all that bad, but I’m starting to get antsy.
“We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest.” Layden continued. “The good news is that the game is phenomenal — we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure.”
An open multiplayer stress test will be held for Uncharted 4’s multiplayer game this weekend.
