If you’ve ever flown in Ireland or taken a really cheap flight in Europe then chances are you flew Ryanair. These guys are now planning on offering extremely cheap transatlantic flights. And I mean really cheap. In fact, they want to sell tickets for around $15. I know what you’re thinking and, yes, it is too good to be true. You may only pay 15 bucks for a ticket, but you’ll also get slapped with roughly $200 in passenger taxes, then however much they decide to charge you for baggage or reserving a seat.
Let’s face it. Even $400 for a round trip ticket to London would be amazing, but I’ve never flown Ryanair so I can’t comment on the quality of their flights. However, they recently refused to fly a sick child to an organ transplant operation because the boy’s family arrived “too close to the departure time,” so that’s some food for thought.
