Kurt Cobain’s ‘And I Love Her’ Cover Has Been Officially Released

Kurt Cobain made it pretty clear that he wasn’t fond of Paul McCartney, but a rare and previously unreleased cover of The Beatles ‘And I Love Her’ might just prove otherwise. Why? Because Paul wrote that song and you can bet your bottom dollar that Kurt knew that. Cobain’s cover of the song, which was uncovered by Brett Morgan while scouring the former Nirvana frontman’s archives, will be released on a seven-inch vinyl on November 20th.

Brett Morgan’s documentary Montage of Heck, which is scheduled for a November 6 release, will feature loads of homemade recordings, but a track list for the soundtrack hasn’t been released just yet. The discovery of this cover really, REALLY, surprised Morgan who went on to say “Nobody in Kurt’s life — not his management, wife, bandmates — had ever heard his Beatles thing,” We know you’re all dying to hear his cover, so you can check it out below. It may or may not give you chills… just sayin’.

The documentary should be very interesting and Morgan says that there will be a 12-minute acoustic track in it that will blow our minds. I’m a sucker for anything Cobain/Nirvana so I know what I’ll be doing come early November.
