Many people think that America’s ‘royal family’, the Kardashians, are a tad overexposed. And those people are spot on. The Kenendys were our royal family, ’nuff said. But one man, who just happens to be on TV, has done something about it. John Brown, who serves as an anchor on Fox 35’s Good Day Orlando, made news when he protested talking about a certain socialite on live television.
Brown walked out on the show, shouting, “I’ve had enough of the Kardashians!” during a live broadcast. The story of the day was about how Kylie Jenner had named her new pet bunny Bruce. The incident took place during an interview with Rumba 1003 radio host Jenny Castillo, who was discussing the events of Jenner’s 18th birthday party, of which the bunny was a present.
Brown’s co-star attempted to calm him down by saying, “How would you like it if your daughter named her pet John? That’s exactly what Kylie Jenner did.” Brown countered with, “I don’t care about this family. I’m sick of this family. It’s a nonstory!’ ‘Nobody cares about this family anymore!… You are on your own, Amy. I can’t do it, I’ve had enough Kardashians! I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show!” Leaving, Brown was given a temporary replacement for the live show. Good on you, mate!
After the fact, Brown made a public apology online. “Sorry, I lost my mind a bit, although it was partially in jest! I did feel better though after I was done.” Hopefully, Brown’s actions will inspire other journalists to cover more substantial stories than such decadent puff pieces about the Kardashians…like articles about people reacting to the Kardashians.
I just wrote myself into a hole, just now, didn’t I?
