Just when you thought the Belgians couldn’t get any more loopy, the president of the EC (the executive body of the EU) goes and flaps his mouth.
President Jean Claude Juncker openly declared that he had “heard from leaders of the other planets” whilst at a Brexit debate. Seriously, there are actual clips of this man proclaiming that he’s heard from leaders of other planets who are “concerned” about Brexit.
“You need to know that those who observe us from afar are worried.” he said. “I have seen, listened and heard many leaders of other planets and they are very worried because they wonder about the course the EU will follow. “
“So we have to reassure both the Europeans and those who observe us from afar.”
The little speech sent alien and conspiracy theorists into a tizzy, but it was quickly dismissed a a slip of the tongue by others. Apparently, he meant to say “many leaders of our planet” rather than “leaders of other planets.” Needless to say, social media had a field day with it.
There are only two possibilities here, Juncker is trying to scare conspiracy types into a pro-EU stance or we're ruled by reptile aliens.

If aliens came down to earth and saw the state of the UK they'd obliterate us just to put us out of our misery. AND WE'D STILL BE IN THE EU.

If we’ve learned anything from this it should be that the world has room for only one Jean Claude… and that’s Jean Claude Van Damme. Meanwhile, we can sit back and watch as Juncker’s job possibly goes to waste due to his comments over Brexit, as calls for his sacking loom large.
