Christian Bale May Play Steve Jobs In New Film

Fincher Wants Bale

According to TheWrap, Christian Bale is David Fincher’s number 1 choice to play Steve Jobs in a new film written by Aaron Sorkin and distributed by Sony.

The film will be produced by Scott Rudin and Mark Gordon.

TheWrap reached out to all parties, but received no confirmation or word on the rumors making waves across the web.

It’s said that Fincher (Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Social Network) recently had a meeting with Sony executives and made it clear to all that he would only take the gig if Bale were to play his protagonist.

Sony’s Amy Pascal, the insider that Fincher met with, is also inclined to make the project happen. She has had a relationship with Fincher since The Social Network and is reportedly very close with Christian Bale.

At the moment Bale is taking a break from the business and spending time with his family. The news is reporting that Bale, nor his representatives, have received any offers just yet to play the tech mastermind behind several of today’s most used consumer electronics.
