Apple’s New Battery Case Ain’t All That Great

There are a few things that Apple are, generally, pretty concerned with: sleek design and an easy to use operating system. Seem’s they totally forgot about the former when cooking up their Smart Battery Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.

First things first: it looks like Apple stuck a damn diaper on an iPhone and said “this will do just fine.” What peeves even more than the diaper case is the blatant admission that your iPhone 6 or 6s battery is substandard and that you can fix that problem for an extra $99. But, alas, that’s how business is done! And there’s an easy way to prolong you battery life: put the damn thing down and go outside. Moving on!

If you use headphones that aren’t Apple EarBuds then you’re SOL. Won’t fit. That’s what she said. What’s more, the ‘smart case’ only carries a 1,877mAh battery pack, whereas the Mophie Juice Pack Air ($99) comes equipped with a 2,750mAh battery and the Incipio Offered Express ($50) has a 3,000mAh battery. Hell, it won’t even give you a full charge! If we were counting, I think that’d be strike 3… or 4… it’s shite.

The external battery is, however, chargeable with a lightning cable. Yes, the very same that you use to charge your iPhone. If it were cheaper then this would be a decent pickup, but the brand name is gonna cost you a pretty penny.
